Deniz AYDIN
Violin
Deniz Aydın began her violin studies at Hacettepe University’s Department of Violin in 1988. She graduated in 1998 from Prof. Kemal Murat Tamer’s class with the highest distinction. In the same year, she successfully passed the entrance exam for the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Orchestra, where she became a first violinist.
In the 2000-2001 season, she was accepted into Prof. Thomas Christian’s class at the Hochschule für Musik in Detmold, Germany, after passing a highly competitive exam. Aydın was admitted at an advanced level, and in 2003, after another successful exam, she earned the right to pursue a soloist diploma and completed her master’s degree with high honors.
Aydın has performed recitals in many cities in Germany and successfully played as a soloist with the Detmold Chamber Orchestra, Turkish-German mixed orchestras, among others. Her performances received highly positive reviews in various local newspapers. During her time in Germany, she served as the concertmaster of the Detmold Academy Orchestra, leading several tours under this title.
In 2003, Aydın returned to her position at the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Orchestra, where she was promoted to assistant concertmaster and later achieved the title of principal concertmaster.
Deniz Aydın has performed as a soloist with the Samsun State Opera and Ballet Orchestra under the baton of Fahrettin Kerimov, with the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Orchestra conducted by Selman Ada, playing J. Sibelius’ Violin Concerto, with the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra under Naci Özgüç in J.S. Bach’s Concerto for Violin and Oboe, with the Bursa Regional Symphony Orchestra conducted by Orhan Şallıel performing C. Saint-Saëns’ “Rondo Capriccioso”, and with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jan Latham Koenig in M. Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1. Additionally, she performed Brahms’ Concerto for Violin and Cello with the Samsun State Opera Ballet Orchestra under Dağhan Doğu, and again with the Çukurova State Symphony Orchestra under Orhan Şallıel, as well as Vaughan Williams’ Violin Concerto with the Hacettepe University Symphony Orchestra under Hasan Niyazi Tura, marking the Turkish premieres of these works.
The artist continues to perform in concerts, recitals, and ensemble work both in Turkey and internationally.
